The house is designed to take full advantage of the sloping grounds, incorporating large areas of level stone terraces over two floors with private balconies to the master and guest bedrooms, all with views of the wooded hillside opposite. Both the glazed walls in the kitchen/family room and entertainment suite can be opened to provide the ultimate in internal and external living.
Impressive ceiling heights have been incorporated in the elegant main reception rooms and kitchen/family room. The interior designer has used a calming blend of textural natural stone and wood finishes throughout.
The upper two levels incorporate seven bedrooms each with individually designed and detailed en-suites. The spa facilities include a deck level pool approximately 11.1m by 4.7m with both shallow and deep ends, an infinity end overlooking the rear gardens and a hydrotherapy jet. There is also a whirlpool spa for up to 10 people and fully integrated sauna and steam rooms. There are separate male and female changing facilities both with dedicated cloakrooms and showers.
Adjacent to spa facilities is a multi use entertainment suite with a fully fitted bar and integrated cinema system making it the ideal space for entertaining guests or for a gymnasium.
A wet underfloor heating system is fitted throughout the house (The staff accommodation uses conventional water filled radiators), powered by the latest Geminox energy efficient condensing gas boilers.
Solar panels installed on the roof, in conjunction with a thermal heat store, coupled to the boilers to reduce overall energy consumption of the house by providing heat for the hot water system, the underfloor heating and the swimming pool.
The latest Hitachi fan coil units with remote controls can fully cool or provide additional heat within each room (except staff accommodation).
The lighting system includes Leax computer control to allow complete flexibility for mood setting both internally and externally. Additionally selected rooms have a user controlled colour changing light system.
